to California’s Budget Crisis. California’s budget crisis didn’t happen overnight. It is the result of a generation of political myopia: both Democrats and Republicans have burdened working families while overlooking corporate tax loopholes as an obvious means of raising the funds to keep our state working.
I am running to spotlight the actions state legislators can and should take to improve health, education and the quality of life for working people and families throughout the 26th District and throughout California, and to focus attention not only on a positive plan of action, but on Democrat and Republican reluctance to initiate true improvements, and their opposition to these plans.
